RSAC Three Lochs Classic 2011
This popular event is organised by RSAC Motorsport and amongst other things this year's run allowed participants the opportunity to drive the old "Rest And Be Thankful"...
From the start and finish at Royal Northern & Clyde Yacht Club at Rhu, the route of the event took the participants via Helensburgh towards Arden then back through Glen Fruin on the old road to Garelochhead (Gare Loch!) and then Coulport before heading north to Arrochar (Loch Long) and "the Rest" - then almost to Loch Fyne before returning to Arrochar and then to Tarbet and southwards to Arden again (Loch Lomond) before heading back to Helensburgh and the short return to Rhu.
The weather was exceptionally kind for the "3 Lochs" drivers this year - at least during the event! within 10 minutes of the end of the prize-giving, the heavens opened.
Photos were taken in Glen Fruin and at the head of "The Rest".
